I've been meaning to share this recipe with you for awhile. I served it at one of our Thankfulness Breakfasts during Thanksgiving. I also gave a small jar to a few special friends earlier in the fall season with an orange in a simply decorated brown bag. It's spicy and savory and comforting, and very simple to make. It's a wonderful gift - just trace the circle of the canning jar onto scrapbooking paper and cut it out and adhere it to the top with double sided tape. Add a ribbon. If you get ambitious, you could make a label on the computer and print it out to add to the jar! I will probably be making some of these for Christmas gifts using Christmas paper and ribbon - sometimes homemade gifts are the best ones!
I found this recipe in the Gooseberry Patch Christmas 2010 magazine special - they are in stands until 1/21/11 - you may want to pick one up, it is full of excellent ideas!
