Dear Trevor (Or Should I Say Indiana),

You discovered Indiana Jones at the stunt show in Hollywood Studios.  The show and two Wii games are all you know of him, but those are enough.  To you he is brave, quick, strong, savvy.  A hero.  Surrounded by seriously cool special effects, no less! You must have been listening closely to the theme song because now that the training wheels are off your bike, you cruise through our neighborhood as Indiana on your "motorcycle" humming his theme song all the way!

Apparently you were listening during fire safety week too. Over Spring Break when you were watching the stunt show with Daddy and the big, huge "rock" was threatening to roll over Indiana but he dove down and rolled out of the way at the last second, you leaned over to your dad and said,

"See, Dad?  Just stop, drop and roll."

You got it, bud.

You've got ingenuity too.  You began playing Indiana Jones at home with a little collection of things you put together to create the character.  An old Woody hat and boots.  A hand me down snake from your friend JT.  A little plastic pistol your sister bought for you.  And my favorite part?  A shoelace from your old Sperry's for a whip.  I thought that was so clever!  You used that shoelace the other day to save me from "snakes" in the kitchen.  Your pal Indy would be proud.

I have a special surprise for your Easter basket that is going to be so much fun and I can't wait to give it to you!! The adventures will certainly continue!  The theme song will still be sung!  You are guaranteed to save the day once more!

But not just because of the surprise that awaits you.

But because inside of you beats the heart of a hero.

I love you,

Momma

  1. What a sweet letter. Oh those boys we have. Thank you for stopping by... sweet of you to take the time to read and comment. I scanned down a bit more and I have that same “Love My Peeps” sign I picked up at Stein Mart. I keep mine out all year long. Looking forward to checking back in later.
